New Directors at IDDAS

June 2006

Lord Freeman, Chairman of IDDAS, the business and career mentoring firm, today announces the appointment of two new executive directors: Julian Badcock and Philip Beddows.  They join IDDAS’s 25 mentors, coaches and senior advisers, all of whom have held board level roles in the private, public or charitable sectors.

Julian Badcock joins IDDAS from Aon, where he was Managing Director of their Services Industry Group.  Prior to Aon, Badcock was a partner with Deloitte Consulting and an executive consultant at Ernst & Young.  He started his career in Banking with NatWest and Nationwide Building Society, where he held senior executive positions, and has also run his own company providing business mentoring and coaching services.

Philip Beddows has 15 years’ experience in the career mentoring field, principally focusing on financial and professional services.  Having initially joined Pauline Hyde in 1991, he went on to work for Coutts Consulting and Whitehead Mann, which acquired BG Careers, the leading boutique in the City market, which Mr Beddows co-founded in 1998 and sold twice before joining IDDAS.

Jonathan Cohen, IDDAS’s founding Director, said: “We welcome Julian and Philip to our executive team as they will, with their many years of experience, enhance our Business and Career Mentoring capabilities.  With these two new appointments we’re having to move to new premises, and our continuing and significant business growth means we’re still in the market for one or two more Partners.”

IDDAS’s Board is chaired by Lord Freeman, the former Cabinet Minister and Chairman of Thales plc, and continues to be supported by advisors including Elizabeth Filkin, former Parliamentary Standards Commissioner, Martin Smith, Deputy Chairman of New Star Asset Management, Jane Kingsley, former Head of search firm Russell Reynolds, John Salmon, former Partner of PwC, and Chris Leslie, former Partner with Whitehead Mann.
