Since its formation in 2002, IDDAS has worked with partners from leading UK and US law firms and the UK’s top five accounting firms.  

On 27 March 2007, IDDAS announced the formation of a new specialist lawyer panel for law firms that combines the experience of three well known and respected senior figures from the world of law, and will complement IDDAS’s existing capability within professional services.

• Janet Gaymer, former Senior Partner of Simmons & Simmons
• Terence Kyle, former Managing Partner of Linklaters and General Counsel of Nomura
• Francis Neate, former Partner of Slaughter & May and President of the IBA

All three will work closely with IDDAS partners Philip Beddows and Jonathan Cohen. They join the current team of 25 mentors, coaches and senior advisers, whose collective experience encompasses board level roles in professional services firms, private and public companies, financial institutions and not-for-profit bodies.

WHAT THE NEW PANEL WILL DO

Our new lawyer panel will focus on:

• Providing a sounding board for senior and emerging leaders within the firm
• Helping those looking beyond partnership to other paths, well ahead of any technical ‘retirement’ date
• Enhancing the development of a valuable alumni network of ‘ambassadors for life’ by ensuring departing partners retain their goodwill towards the firm
• Offering confidential advice and support for Senior and Managing Partners, and heads of departments, in support of their roles and careers
