Biography

Claire Ighodaro CBE

Claire Ighodaro is a Board member / Non-executive Director of Lloyd’s of London, the Lending Standards Board and the British Council and a Council Member of the Open University and the National Learning and Skills Council. She is Chair of the Lloyd’s Audit Committee, the OU Audit Committee, the British Council Audit Committee and the LSB Audit Committee and is a Past President of CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).

Claire is a mentor on the Mentoring Women for Public Life programme, and was a mentor on the Senior Civil Service programme. Until 2005 she was a senior executive at BT plc, working in the UK and Germany and has been an independent director of BERR (now BIS) and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).

She was awarded a CBE, in 2008, for services to business and is actively involved in charities supporting education and skills development.
